UPI, or Unified Payments Interface, is a real-time payment system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to simplify inter-bank transactions in India. With UPI, you can transfer money, pay bills, and make other transactions instantly without the need for a debit card. However, you can also set up UPI using just your Aadhaar card. Step 3: Link your bank account
Link your bank account. To use UPI, you need to link your bank account to the UPI-enabled app. To do this, select the “Bank Accounts” option in the app and choose the bank you have an account. The app will then fetch your account details and ask you to confirm the details. Once confirmed, your bank account will be linked to the UPI-enabled app.

Step 5: Link Your Aadhar card
Link your Aadhaar card To set up UPI without a debit card; you will need to link your Aadhaar card to the UPI-enabled app. To do this, select the “Aadhaar” option in the app and enter your Aadhaar card number. The app will verify your Aadhaar card details and ask you to confirm the details. Once confirmed, your Aadhaar card will be linked to the UPI-enabled app.
Step 6: Set Pin
Set a UPI Pin To complete the UPI setup process; you will need to set a UPI Pin. This is a 4- or 6-digit security code that you will use to authenticate transactions. To set a UPI Pin, select the “Set UPI Pin” option in the app and enter your Aadhaar card number. The app will verify your Aadhaar card details and send an OTP to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to complete the process.
Step 7: Mauj Karo!
Start transacting through UPI. Once you have completed the UPI setup process, you can start transacting through UPI. You can use UPI to send and receive money, pay bills, recharge your mobile phone, and more.
